Over a span of 37 years, Dr. Chen Xinxin has successfully performed over 10,000 surgeries with a success rate of 98%. Dr. Chen is the leading expert at the Cardiac Center of the Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center, affiliated with Guangzhou Medical University in Guangdong Province, China. Over his career, Dr. Chen has successfully treated more than 13,000 patients.

Dr. Chen and his team perform approximately 1,100 surgeries each year, making their center the second most active in Guangdong Province and Guangzhou. The center has developed into one of the top three clinical and academic centers for congenital heart disease treatment in South China. Patients from across the country come to the Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center seeking Dr. Chen’s expertise. Dr. Chen told reporters, "We treat children with complex congenital heart diseases from all over the country and perform surgeries that others cannot."

 

One of his patients, a child under two years old from Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, was successfully treated after a five-hour surgery performed by Dr. Chen. The child has since been discharged and is recovering well.

Dr. Chen Xinxin's department at the Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center has maintained its position among the top medical institutions in China for 12 consecutive years. The number and complexity of surgeries performed place the center among the top three pediatric medical systems in the country. Each year, the center treats over 1,500 critically ill and complex cases, achieving a surgical success rate of 98%. It is one of only four hospitals in China qualified to perform pediatric heart transplants.
