My husband and I just bought our first house and are total novices at all things "handy." We redesigned our teeny tiny laundry room to a slightly bigger laundry room. They had this absolutely hideous tile that we couldn't get up, so we decided to put self leveling concrete over the whole thing and just start over. The flooring was uneven anyway because the tile only went across half of the room (because we made it bigger) so we thought this would be the easiest solution.
Well, my husband and stepdad tried to do it themselves and it didn't turn out so great. There are lumps (basically little mountains really) that make it impossible to put our peel and stick tile down. We're at a loss on how to fix it -- should we try to grind the spots down? Trying the concrete again? Just call it quits and hire someone and vow to never touch self leveling concrete again? I would love any advice you may have. Thanks in advance!
